Our Year 7 Students have written some reflections for the Year 6 Students from their old primary schools to read.

Aylesham Primary School

“It’s the best Secondary School ever. I attended Summer School.  It’s where they show you how things work and meet new friends and staff.  One of my favourite lessons is Science, and the best part is you must wear goggles.”  Bayley

Briary Primary School

“We have all now done 3 weeks at Spires. The lesson here are a bit different but easy. Our first day was really good, I was a little scared as I didn’t know anyone. I have settled in really well and I love it.”Chloe

“I have settled in great and even made some friends. I was nervous on my first day but I really, really enjoyed it. I have really enjoyed the science lesson. We have been learning loads of new subjects, Food Tech, Design Tech, and Geography. I went to Summer school and made some new friends.  It was really good.” James 

“The difference between our Primary school and Spires is it’s bigger, and you have different teachers. My favourite lesson is cooking. There are new lessons like Design Tech, Drama. The school makes me feel safe because there are lots of teachers around. I attended the Summer School and it was really helpful as it showed me around the school and where the lessons are.” Brinley

Herne Church of England Junior School

“My first day was fun and exciting and I really enjoyed it. I feel safe at Spires as I have friends around me. I have new subjects to study but my favourite is Art. I really enjoyed going to Summer School and meeting the teachers and making new friends.” Aston

“My first day at Spires was great. I was a little nervous but once I walked through the doors everything was completely fine. Summer School helped me to settle in school on my first day. I am enjoying my lessons and the teachers are great. There are different colour floors so you can’t get lost. Don’t be worried when you start, you will be fine.”  Florence
