Students raise £500.00 for RNLI
Young entrepreneurs from Spires Academy have raised £500.00 for the RNLI - selling 1,200 tickets in 2 weeks for a raffle.
Five students sold 20 per cent between them. Prizes included a return car ferry crossing, £50.00, a remote controlled helicopter and a weekend pass to the Kingsmead Leisure Centre.
Co-ordinator Rory Waitt said: 'It was a pleasure to work with such well motivated students and staff. It was a real honour for Spires Academy to be able to contribute to the life saving work of the RNLI.'
