Gifted and Talented Day Trip to London

Spires Academy and The Marlowe Academy are planning a reward trip for students who achieve a Level 7 in English, Mathematics or Science in the National SATs Exam in May 2008.

Gaining a Level 7 at Key Stage 3 (end of Year 9) puts students in the top percentage nationally for Gifted and Talented and would support an application for membership of ‘The National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth’.

We are planning an awesome reward trip to match the awesome goal we are setting our most able students. As always we appreciate the support and close working relationship we have with parents/guardians and carers. Suggestions for the itinerary on the big day out include:

1. River trip
2. Visit to the Houses of Parliament to meet our MP and a tour
3. Meal out in London
4. A show in London
5. London Eye

MOST IMPORTANTLY the message to our students is work hard, aim higher, do your best and look forward to excellent grades and a reward trip in the summer.
