Specialism

All Academies are required to offer a specialism. Spires Academy is proud to offer two specialisms; Business & Enterprise, and Visual, Creative & Performing Arts. These specialisms are designed to help students to develop as confident communicators with an understanding of the skills needed to fulfil their potential in real settings.

Strong links with local enterprises allow students to undertake structured learning of the valuable skills needed for business over the course of their Academy career. Visual, Creative & Performing Arts will enable students to develop their capacity for empathy and self-expression, and to develop the awareness and confidence that drives personal development.

The specialisms are designed to promote a close involvement with the local community, and will help students achieve academically and throughout their lives. Principles such as self confidence, team working, cooperation, creativity and presenting ideas are all essential skills that help young people achieve and develop at school, socially and in the workplace.
