Spires Academy entered a novice group of gymnasts into the first group competition of the year. The group performed extremely well against fierce competition. The team - Phoebe Blair, Kyra Fraser and Chelsea Grant – was competing in the National qualifications for a place in the finals in Stoke on Trent. Although they didn’t qualify, the girls put on a great show against all independent schools and it was evident from their performance how much progress they have made in the last few years. The girls are all members of Spires’ Gymnastics Academy and receive coaching at Canterbury Gymnastics Club.
Competing in the Regional competition for Spires were Jessica Gantz, Chloe Taylor-Bullen, Faith Williams, Charlene Dicker, and Bianca Roibanescu. The group have proved to be fast learners, some of whom only began training in October. The team were competing in the hardest competition of the year against a number of independent schools. Their performance highlights their hard work and determination.
