Read for Good - Sponsored ReadPosted on: 10/10/2018
The English Department are running a Read for Good Sponsored Read across Years 7, 8 and 9. The charity Read for Good encourages children to read, inspire reluctant readers to give reading a go, and keen readers to read more widely. Pupils can choose whatever they want to read - from comics to classics and audio books to blogs - it’s all about reading for fun. Students who take part will help raise money to provide a regular supply of brand new books and a resident storyteller to every major children’s hospital in the UK. Spires Academy will also receive 20% worth of our grand sponsorship total which will contribute to free books and offers plus the winning school, who raise the most money and read the most minutes, wins a visit from Bear Grylls.
You can sponsor your child online using the following link, https://readforgood.org/sponsor-a-pupil-taking-part-in-readathon/ or complete the sponsor card students have been given in class.
Thank you for your support! Let’s see how much we can raise!
