Salter's Festival of Chemistry - University of KentPosted on: 10/05/2018
Four Year 8 students went on a trip to The Salter’s Festival of Chemistry at University of Kent at Canterbury on Tuesday 8th May.
They took part in the Salter’s Challenge in the morning – a forensic puzzle to solve – and a challenge set by the University in the afternoon before they were entertained by some demonstrations of the properties of liquid nitrogen and its effect upon various materials as well as being taken inside a cloud!!
They were particularly praised for the highly methodical way that they approached the two challenges and for how well they maintained their workspace.
All of them enjoyed the day and found the challenges both interesting and thought provoking with a certificate gained at the end of the day.
