Football at Spires Academy is thriving!

The Football Academy continues to develop and experience success. Highlights include:

  • Final 16 in the country for small schools
  • 2 outstanding county players (pictured)
  • Students at Spires represent  high profile clubs - Crystal Palace FC, Gillingham FC, Dover Athletic Football Club, as well as other district sides


Details of the Programme:

Spires Academy are recruiting players to study the BTEC Sport Extended Diploma (Level 3). Students will get the opportunity to be included in our innovative Sports Academy programme with Bromley Football Club. Successful applicants will  also be given the unique opportunity to train at Spires Academy and be coached by Bromley FC coaching staff whilst also gain Coaching Qualifications with Total Sports Coaching and help deliver PE and sport within the local community.


Entry Requirements

  • 5 GCSE’s A*C (9-4) including English and Mathematics.
  • You will also have the opportunity to study GCSE English and Mathematics if you were unsuccessful in achieving  a Grade 4 in these subjects.



  • Players will  have the opportunity to be coached by Bromley Football Club coaching staff; students will also be involved in Kent and National College/Sixth Form fixtures.  Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to gain coaching qualifications, gain work experience and access university provision through excellent links with Canterbury Christ Church University.
